The Dupont neighborhood is so wonderfully convenient to everything that we can’t imagine living anywhere else in DC. There are probably 50 restaurants within a ½ mile walk, at all price points and degrees or formality. We have the basic shops starting with groceries (Whole Foods, Safeway), hardware stores, dry cleaners, pharmacies, and great gyms (LOVE Vida Fitness). We have easy access to the metro, and frequently walk downtown and to the Kennedy Center. There is green space nearby, access to bike trails, and the great Sunday Dupont circle farmers market. The Dupont Circle Citizen’s Association (DCCA) is active and meaningful, and organizes events focused on neighborhood and DC wide issues, as well as social activities.
We moved to Dupont in 2012, and are very glad we did.
