Five Stories on Embassy Row

This turn-of-the-century, five-story rowhouse is located on DC’s Embassy Row. The spacious octagonal foyer has checkerboard flooring, wood panel walls, and a corner fireplace, and the similarly-shaped living room also has a corner fireplace along with decorative molding, and a bay nook past pillars. The formal dining room has a coffered ceiling, angled fireplace, color-blocked wood-paneled walls, and a pair of leaded windows looking into the kitchen. One of the upstairs bedrooms is double-sized and has an angled fireplace, bay window, and a large sitting area with two sets of floor-to-ceiling built-ins. The top level is skylit and could serve as an in-law suite, complete with U-shaped kitchen nook. The lower level is also a one-bedroom unit with a separate entrance and an ornate stovepipe fireplace in the living area.
