Pieces of History

The Washington D.C. home used in the 2005 geopolitical thriller “Syriana,” starring Matt Damon and George Clooney, has reportedly gone under contract for sale.

According to the Washington Post, agents representing the celebrity home said the deal is almost done and that the buyers have agreed to pay “substantially over $1.2 million” less than a month from listing.

Kimberly Casey, an associate broker at Washington Fine Properties, told the publication that the residence received several offers for and above its $1.2 million asking price, adding that the buyers purchased the home because it met all their daily needs. The “Hollywood glamour” of it all was just an added incentive, he said.
