Warren Buffett’s childhood home at 4211 49th Street NW sold for $1,550,000. The billionaire financier hung his hat in the five-bedroom Tudor when his father, Howard Buffett (R-Neb.) was serving in the U.S. House of Representative from 1943 to 1949. While at Woodrow Wilson High School. Warren Buffett started his first business selling soft drinks and his own horse-racing tip sheet. When the sellers, Leyla and Anthony Serafino moved in they realized Buffett once lived there and they struck up a correspondence with him about his former home. The house has been renovated top to bottom since then of course and now features two additions, an eat0in kitchen, a master bedroom with an en-suite spa bath and fully finished basement. The property was listed by Kimberly Casey of Washington Fine Properties.
